PMBA Architects is seeking a Project Designer to join our collaborative architectural team. This role is ideal for a talented designer who enjoys translating ideas into well coordinated, buildable design solutions and contributing throughout all phases of a project.
As a Project Designer, you will support a wide range of projects—large and small—by producing high quality drawings, coordinating with engineers and consultants, and helping ensure designs align with client goals, budgets, and schedules.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Support design development and space planning from concept through construction documents
- Produce architectural drawings, models, and renderings using Revit and AutoCAD
- Coordinate drawings with structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing consultants
- Assist with project documentation, meeting notes, and design revisions
- Review designs for accuracy, coordination, and code compliance
- Conduct field verification and evaluate existing site conditions
- Collaborate with Project Managers and project teams to meet project deadlines
- Maintain organized project documentation and drawing sets
- Participate in BIM coordination and model reviews
- Stay current with design standards, details, and emerging trends
Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong design and technical skills with a passion for quality documentation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- High attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities
- Confidence working independently and as part of a team
Education and Experience
- 3+ yearsof relevant experience in architectural design or documentation
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Construction, or Architecture
(Bachelor’s in Architecture preferred) - High proficiency in Revit(required) and AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign preferred)
- Familiarity with building codes and coordination processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to travel and visit job sites as needed.
